The goal here is to set up your devices and apps to create an easy and seamless flow from racing the course, saving the track and uploading it to ZoomZoom's Leaderboards with the least amount of button pushing. In this writeup, we will configure your gear to make this possible.
Install Garmin Connect on your phone.
Open Garmin Connect, create an account and log in.Test it out! Open Kite GPS on your watch, start a session, walk around the block, then stop and save your session. Next time you are by your phone, it will automatically sync to Garmin Connect. You should now see your track in Garmin Connect (Home: Today's Activity).
Garmin has very good documentation on how to accomplish this if you run into any issues or want more details.
Install Strava on your phone.
Open Strava, create an account and log in.
Open Garmin Connect -> More -> Settings -> Connected Apps -> Strava -> Agree -> Select "Upload your activities from Garmin Connect to Strava -> Authorize -> Activities must be shared from Connect to Strava.
Test it! Start a session on your watch (Kite GPS), walk a bit, then stop and save the session. Get close enough to your phone to sync (this should complete in just a few seconds). Open Garmin Connect to monitor the sync progress or see if it completed successfully. And finally, open up Strava and check that your new activity is listed (Home).
Strava has good documentation. Try Googling "Garmin and Strava."
Install ZoomZoom on your phone.
Open ZoomZoom, create an account and log in.
In ZoomZoom, go to Preferences -> Enable Connected Apps.
Then go to Import -> Fitness Apps -> Authorize (it may ask you to log in to Strava first)
That's it! The past 30 days of Strava tracks should now be listed. Just click the ones you want to use in ZoomZoom and click Import.
Note 1: If you like using the Strava app on your watch, you can skip step 1.
Note 2: Kite GPS not only syncs to Garmin Connect. It also allows you to post sessions in the Woo app. Check out www.WooWorlds.com!
