Overview
After logging in, check the navigation bar. It contains 5 icons: Routes, Import, Users, Preferences and Sync.
These are the main pages in ZoomZoom:
- Route: Browse existing routes or create your own.
- Import: Load tracks into ZoomZoom and import them to an existing route.
- Users: Browse existing users.
- Preferences: Adjust settings, view documentation, logout, etc.
- Sync: Updates routes, results, leaderboards, etc with the server's data.
There are also pages within the main navigation pages:
- Route -> Create Route: Define a new route and save it to the Route page.
- Route -> Leaderboard: Click a route's name to view its leaderboard.
- Route -> Leaderboard -> Route Details: View the route's mark definitions and stats.
- Users -> User Profile: Browse a user's stats, public details and results list.
- Preferences -> Documentation: Case studies, how-tos and app support.
Get on the Leaderboard
- 1) Sync up: The first thing to do after registering and logging in is to sync up. Tap the sync icon in the navigation menu. This may take a few minutes.
- 2) Check the Routes: Now click Routes to see the existing routes available and choose one to view. Clicking on a route's name will bring you to its Leaderboard.
Don't see an exciting route? No routes in your area? Create a new route!
- 3) Race prep: Find a route you fancy? Care to race? First check the course definition so you know where to go. If you skip a gate or turn the wrong way around a mark your track will not be legal. The track must pass all points in the route definition correctly in order to make it on the Leaderboard.
- 4) Get outside and race!: Record an activity on your watch/phone/tracking device.
- 5) Import the track: Click Import to load your track and import it to the route you raced. You can import from Fitness Apps or from your Device Files. (Try reading through a case study for more details.) Once your track is loaded into ZoomZoom and listed on the Import page, click its import icon. This will allow you to select the route your raced and process the track. If the track is a legal run, it will be added as a new result in the Leaderboard. How'd you do?
- 6) Sync again: For others to see your new result, you will need to sync up again.
Congrats, you're now on the board. Try to beat your time. Or challenge a friend to beat it.
