Overview

Our goal is to record a session and save its track as a .gpx track file onto your phone. This file will then be loaded into ZoomZoom via a file browser within the app.

Assumed Devices and Apps:

Samsung Galaxy Watch Android Samsung Galaxy S25 phone

Note: This case study uses a Galaxy watch to record the track, but there are many other options to save a GPX file.

1) Record a session on your watch

Samsung Health should come pre-installed on all Galaxy Watches.
Galaxy Wearable should come pre-installed on your Galaxy phone.
In Wearable, "Add new device" and follow the steps to pair your devices. (Ensure "Sync with Samsung Cloud" is checked in Samsung Health settings.)
Once paired, test it out! Open Samsung Health on your watch, start a session, walk around the block, then stop and save your session.
Next time you are by your phone, it will automatically sync to Samsung Health.
You should now see your track in your phone's Samsung Health app.

For troubleshooting this step, check out samsung.com or try searching online for "samsung health data does not sync" and/or "pair samsung watch."

2) Save the track file to your phone

Open Samsung Health on your phone and click on your new activity.
The menu button (3 dot ellipses) should have "Share route as GPX file". Click Save and note where it's saved to.
(As another option, you can share your file. Try sending the file to your email address and downloading it from your email app instead.)

3) Load the track into ZoomZoom

Install ZoomZoom on your phone.
Open ZoomZoom, create an account and log in.
In ZoomZoom, go to Import -> Device Files and Allow Permission for file access. A file browser should open.
Browse for your gpx track file. If you forgot the location, try "User's S25" -> Download -> Samsung Health -> GPX
Click the file you want (or click and hold to select multiple and click Select).

That's it! The past 30 days of Strava tracks should now be listed. Just click the ones you want to use in ZoomZoom and click Import.

Alternative option:

Case Study: Record a track on your watch and import to ZoomZoom using Strava.
For the record, setting up Strava to sync with ZoomZoom is an easier option once it's all set to go. No more dealing with the GPX files; it just works.
This case study uses a Garmin Watch to connect with Strava, but Samsung Health can also connect through Samsung Health Settings -> Services -> Strava.
